Tough Talk

My wife has a big family and the only person I liked was her father who passed away.  He was a really nice guy unlike all the two dozen other relatives who are rude and condescending.  Now that he is gone, I dread these family reunions.  I want to be there for my wife, but I know I will be alone and ignored.  What should I do TT? (Parker, Wyoming)

Parker,

Why on earth would you waste your time with these dingleberries, dopes and doofises? I would totally blow this off.  But there is one reason that I can think of.  Take a separate vehicle so you can leave at a moment’s notice.  Then at the appropriate time, tell your in-laws what a bunch of rude, arrogant dingbats they all are.  You’ll know when it’s time to leave.  Make sure you bring a pepper spray for self-defense.
