I just had a child and the in-laws want to meet her, but I just don’t want to see them right away. They’re bossy, pushy and expect to be waited on hand and foot. How long is too long to put off the inevitable TT? (Hickory Hill, Tennessee)

Why is inevitable? I wouldn’t deal with them at all considering how they treat you. What’s wrong with you? Grow a backbone and cut these buzz-kills loose.
