Tough Talk,
I’ve been friends with a woman and her children for years, often visiting for holidays and birthdays. I considered them very close. Her oldest daughter has met a wonderful and delightful young man and they are getting married soon. I’m really surprised that I wasn’t invited to the wedding and my friend now has no time for me. I know it’s her daughter’s special day, but other people who aren’t nearly so close to them were invited. Am I wrong for feeling irked TT? (Dorrance, Idaho)

No you are not, but is there anything you did to make them mad? If not, then they’re jerks for blowing you off. If yes, then you’ve got nobody to blame but yourself. Women have a real talent for getting their knickers in a bunch, and when it’s all said and done, they’re probably doing you a favor.
